About Eyes of Faith DC

Eyes of Faith DC is about baptizing the ordinary experiences of culture in downtown DC so that the benefits of living in Washington can be more than secular; they can be sanctifying.  Speaking about Christian preaching, Pope Francis reminds us that we find “in the heart of people and their culture a source of living water.”  The reflections offered here are meant to do just that so that every part of our life as Washingtonians can become part of a new evangelization, building up the Kingdom in our hearts and in our home, this wonderful city.

My name is Father Vincent De Rosa.  I’m a Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of Washington.  Put simply, I LOVE our city… I have since I first came here for college in 1999.  I hope you find my posts reflecting on faith experienced in our city both useful in your own explorations and edifying in your spiritual life.

  1. So glad that I found your blog! (courtesy of many of my priest friends posting links to it on Facebook). Country music is awesome, FYI 🙂 Keep writing, I enjoy reading your posts!

    1. Thanks so much! Be sure to pass on word of the blog to friends, especially those who might need to see a brighter side of things

  2. Glad you mentioned your blog in Mass today. I converted a few years ago and my RCIA class was lacking in some respects. Your posts have helped fill a few gaps and for one aspect of Mass let me know I’m not doing something wrong.
