A mass intention is a priest’s focus in prayer when he says mass daily, but it also becomes the meaning of his life for that day as he offers his simplicity, chastity and obedience to God for the requested intention.  You can ask for masses for living people, holy causes, or for the faithful departed.  Father is happy to send a personal note called a “mass card,” acknowledging the time and place in which he offered mass for your intention.
